The self / will
Recently in class we have been discussing the self and the will. We created a chart and began to explore the interaction between the inner and the outer world. from this i began to understand that the inner world deals mainly with the will, motivation, imagination, and memory. There was a question asked in class that posted and interesting topic "Are philosophy, art, craft, and science, the "outer world?" are they "inner self?" or are they somehow in between both?" I found this very interesting when i first became involved in this class we talked mainly about art and its meaning, i though all of these catagories were primarily the "outer self". Now that i think about these four elements as a whole i believe they are more derived from both the "inner self", and the "outer self"none of these elements would be discovered or even labled if they wern't first though of internaly and than expressed in the outer world. It would be very difficult to talk about art per say if it wasn't physically expressed on canvas or through music or any form of physical expression of the mind or internal feeling.
